FAQ

Many of our customers have questions about various aspects of the eyelash extension process,
and oftentimes, we see common themes in those questions.
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions that we encounter on a regular basis:

Everyone’s lashes are different. The amount of time that any treatment can take depends on a variety of factors, including the volume of your lashes, the shape of your eyes, and etc.

Your new lashes will last between 2 to 4 weeks depending on your skincare routine and your own natural lash life cycle. To maintain the full look of your lashes, it will require you to maintain refills every 2-3 weeks.
We recommend getting refills every 2 to 4 weeks. If you wait too long, your extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Factors such as exposure to humidity, steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall quicker. Refills can take from 45 – 60 minutes, depending on the state of your remaining lashes. A good sign of when you need a refill is when your extensions are 50%-60% gone.
If applied properly, no. If your technician applies lashes that are too long or too heavy for your natural lashes, there is a risk of getting damaged lashes. This is why it is so important to seek a highly qualified technician. They are actually kinder to your lashes than a lash curler and regular mascara that can dry out lashes and cause them to break. Of course, you will also need to follow the recommended aftercare advice to ensure that you don’t pluck or pull out the extensions or damage them by rubbing your eyelashes. If you can adhere to those recommended care guidelines, however, your natural eyelashes will remain healthy and undamaged.

All of our eyelash extensions come pre-curled, so they should never need curling. Mascara is not really required since the extensions actually give the illusion of wearing mascara. In fact, one of the many benefits of eyelash extensions is that you don’t need to use mascara.

Furthermore, the removal of any mascara product carries with it the potential for damaging your extensions. As a result, we do not recommend using either curlers or mascara on your eyelash extensions.

Classic eyelash extensions are the original eyelash extensions. They have a 1:1 ratio for extension to natural lash. Thicknesses range from 0.12mm to 0.18mm.

Russian Volume eyelash extensions are the newest trend in the industry. Volume lashing has up to a 6:1 ratio for extensions to natural lash. Thicknesses range from 0.05 to 0.10. It’s the weight of the extension that makes the difference in ratio possible. With the extensions weighing so much less than the classic version, we are able to apply many more extensions to the natural lash without adding any excess weight. In fact, most times, the weight of 4-5 extensions on one natural lash will weigh less than one classic extension.

Both have varying lengths from 0.07mm to 0.15mm. Generally, with volume, you choose a slightly shorter lash in exchange for the abundance of volume.
